I never used it but I think the SilverFast software can do that. It's
available for (and often shipped with) many film scanners. With it's
'JobManager' (add on or shipping with newer versions, AFAIK) you can apply
correction to the prescans, start the main scan and walk away. For details
about the JobManager here's a PDF instruction file:

Maybe it's what you're looking for.

Other than that Silverfast is one of the two most recommended software
products for film scanning. The other is VueScan (http://www.hamrick.com/).

I'm looking for a filmscanner, too. It'll be in the 2,700 dpi class. I first
thought of the Min*lta Dimage Scan Dual II but recently I found that at
least in europe UMAX offers a nice model called 'PowerLook 270' ('plus'
version with digital ICE image correction and calibration slide). Both had
good reviews in photo and imaging magazines but UMAX ships with SilverFast.

Prices are:
UMAX PL 270 approx. 360,- EUR
UMAX PL 270 plus approx. 580,- EUR
Min*lta Dual II approx. 380,- EUR
