I was going to buy the tripod adapter to help balance the load
with a Vivitar 400 F5.6 lens, however, it looks like this won't work
or fit the particular lens (OK, so the 300MM lens get's tempting LOL)
Thanks, John, for the straight up information!

Soooo, I'm wondering how to keep this lens from shifting. I have a
Losmandy rail under the C-8, and so getting the standard camera
support and bolting a guidescope ring may be one way. Any others?

In line with all this, I also picked up a surveillance B&W camera to use
with my OM lenses, so this idea would get double duty.

Any suggestions appreciated.
