I have a couple of solid pine chests of drawers about a foot deep and 2
wide with 3 shallow 3" and 4 deeper 6" drawers. I bought them quite
inexpensively unfinished and varathaned them. I've glued felt linings on
the sides and bottom of a couple of drawers for smaller things and those
without cases/boxes. Works pretty well as the drawers are small and
shallow enough that things don't get lost or buried too easily. I can
generally pull open the correct drawer and just grab what I want. So
far, Oly stuff takes up only one piece. Camera bags, big lenses, etc.
sit on shelves in one end of a closet.
