Hi Winsor,
You sure aren't much help! ;-) When I clip the strap into that ring and
put the strap over my shoulder the tripod hangs in a vertical position and
bangs my legs just like you said. If I mount a body with my 105mm macro to
the ball head things balance a little better but it's still awkward to
carry. I keep thinking there must be some genius in the design that's
escaping me but I'm about to give up hope.
