The one big button is the oldest style, then production was changed to the
small button and remote socket.

Subject: [OM] Two different versions of the MD1 ???

Hiy'all,

I've got an MD1, which is working flawlessly (Hi Bernd - thanks!). The
grip on the motor drive (i.e. the thing attached to the plate screwed to
the camera body) has a top like the one visible on the eSIF - i.e. the
same "small button + a mini-jack" as on my Winder 2s.

Now, I've stumbled over another MD1. Thisone looks just like mine, except
that the top of the grip has one large button and no mini-jack for a
remote. It doesn't look like something that's been retro-fitted to the
MD1, since dimentions and finish is perfect (it's a good job if it is a
retro-mod, though...) Everything reads "Olympus" and looks just fine
otherwise ;)

I've never seen an MD1 like this before. So I was just wondering if there
ever were two versions of the MD1, or if there would be another
explanation?
