If I recall correctly, (I don't own either lens anymore) the Tokina was a 5.6 maximum aperture, but in all outward respects the lenses were identical- size, weight, operation, markings. What is the optical difference between an F/5 and an F/5.6 anyway? (I'm serious, not trying to be funny, I don't know).
