Roger covered a lot better than I could and I live here
(it seems to be a tendency of visitors to know a city's
sites better than the locals). The only other place I'd
suggest is Taronga Park Zoo (by ferry), but then you'd
probably want your 300 at the Zoo. Other than that, I
think the kit is fine (and the 300 probably not worth it
just for the Zoo).

Make sure you get *under* the Bridge, probably on the
area just up behind the Rocks. The size is awe-inspiring
from below (not to mention the photo potential with the
25). The NSW Art Gallery is an easy walk, just up through
the Botanical Gardens (and they've got what's suppose to
be an impressive Buddhist exhibition on at the mo').

Oh, at Darling Harbour, make sure you go to the Chinese
Gardens - they are wonderful, peaceful, and just begging
for a camera (or just a quiet sit after walking all day),
and don't cost a mint to get in (about $3 I think). Often
overlooked, which is good, as it means much fewer people
in there.

Depending on when you're there, the Sydney Gay & Lesbian
Mardi Gras is on at the moment too, so if you check up
on info on that, you might find some colourful day
events. Unfortunately Fair Day was today, but the Parade
is only 2 weeks away. Definite photo op's there (you
can get a few trannies of trannies <g>).

Take a ferry to Watsons Bay (nice seafood at Jordans -
take a seat in the wharf restaurant rather than the
original on the beach. It's quieter and, over the water,
a nicer atmosphere). From there you can walk to South
Head (southern side of the entrance to the harbour) which
has quite a few piccie op's around the headlands and
lighthouse. I suggest caution with the camera at
Lady Jane Beach - nudist as it is - though it *is*
a nice little beach just inside the harbour.

Pinchgut (Fort Denison) would make a good tour and good
photo op', but you pay for that tour.

Oh, and if you're walking around Hyde Park, or Mrs Mac's
Chair, or the Opera House, or the Eastern Suburbs, and
you see a couple walking two big, black and tan Airedale
Terriers, it's a fair chance that if you say hello, I'm
the shorter one (of the uprights, not the Airedales)
screaming "MONTY, HEEL!". <g>

Cheers
Marc (who has never been inside the Opera House, though
he walks the dogs around it on many an afternoon)
Sydney, Oz
