For those who do not have the CD, get it!!!! I have had it for, oh about 5
months now, and have only needed to visits the eSIF site twice (when I
couldn't find the CD). It is WELL WORTH the money

It's a sad thing what happened to the eSIF and completely unneccessary -
I've been offering the eSIF on CD for almost a year now to avoid such
things. Why didn't the data sharks that wanted the complete site just buy
it??? The CD costs only USD.23 = EUR.25 and this price is a joke considering
the amount of time that went into the site. Plus the CD contains very nice
bonus scans - high resolution scans of the original Olympus Sales
Information File - the dealer catalogue that gave me the idea for the eSIF.
This SIF is very hard to find for sale and if you ever find one it will
probably cost you a lot more than $23! The scans allow you to recreate it.

For those considering hosting the eSIF - be aware that the site including
the manuals consumes 300 MB!!! What happened to the eSIF on taiga.ca will
also happen to you if you don't find effective ways to stop data sharks! I
am able to run my own web server if I wanted to on my local pc, but
obviously my cable isp won't allow this and especially not with this kind of
data traffic. When the eSIF returns (and it will!!!!) then it probably won't
have the .pdf scans anymore - they are the major data bulk consuming 280 MB.
Of course I can just host the bare eSIF w/o the manuals, only 20 MB,
wherever I want to.

Please contact me offline if you're interested in the CD:

I know there are a couple of dozen people that informed about the cd in the
beginning but never sent money. Be asure I have shipped the CD worldwide and
encountered very few problems with either the money shipping or the CD
shipping.
