It's amazing what can be learned from this list. Yesterday in the hospital
registration area I was looking at a poster of the various languages for
which they have interpreters assigned. One was Tagalog and I had no idea
where it was spoken. You've saved me the trouble of looking it up.  /jim

 I believe  "Boonies" comes from "boondocks" from the Tagalog
(Philippines) word "bundok" for the jungle or back woods.  Probably
brought back by the GI.
