Olympus = KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid)
Or does the O stand for Occam?

I bought it 25 years ago because it had OTF flash, aperture priority, and
was small & uncluttered, after owning a Retina IIa, Leica IIIa, Nikon S2,
SP, and Pentax, all of which I liked.

For professionals, I can understand why autofocus, and fancy flash and
exposure options can simplify their life on the fly for 35mm. For formal
occasions, MF appeals, tho it's technology lags even the OM.

Now, digital calls, and I am the proud owner of an Olympus D600L (always
lagging the bleeding edge... 1.4Mp) for web pix.
