Not only Brit users.
I'm going to remove all reference to accepting payment by PayPal off my
site/future auctions tomorrow morning.
Just because I'm a business they're charging me 2.9 per transaction,
which stinks, since my own bank only charges me 2 0.000000or CC
facilities. Basically I'm losing too much on every sale via paypal, and my
margins are too low to accommodate it, so it's bye bye PayPal.
I've also noticed that they have their own exchange rates too, usually in
their own favour, naturally.

Sorry chaps and chapesses, but I am cross.
I have just sold a fuji RF and a 35-105 on e*ay only to find that the
winners wanted to pay in USD (perhaps the GBP sign was difficult to
understand). I agreed to becoming a member of PayPal for a Florida
resident, only to find that I have to register a credit card and a
bank account to recieve the money and it costs me $15 for the
privilege of upgrading to a "Premier Account" to receive more than
$100 per month! All these terms were opaque to me before I foolishly
agreed to register, it just built up and built up into what looks
suspiciously like a scam.
And, to withdraw the money to my account will take up to a week. So,
I don't know about the USA, but being a foreign member is not going
to be cheap! Brits beware!
I was wary of registering with PayPal because of stories from some
months ago, but I succumbed to help someone pay me.... aarrrgghh.
Finished now... going off to sulk...
