Hi Larry,

> At least it was an objective, unbiased brochure...

The smiley makes me think this was a tongue-in-cheek remark (because the
brochure is from Fuji itself), right? :)

Either way, seriously spoken: the brochure is pretty good in demonstrating
the effects of using the F versions of Provia at various speeds. Also, the
brochure mentions the differences between the F versions of Provia, and the
normal versions. Apparantly where the 100 ASA version is concerned the main
gain was in (grain) RMS size, where the RMS value has gone down from 10 to
8. With the 400 ASA version, the gain was bigger even (in a way), in that
not only the grain size has become smaller (I believe RMS 16 vs. RMS 13),
but that also the colour balance is better and that it is more suited for
pushing. So, though the brochure will indeed of course not be completely
objective and unbiased, I still think it's a pretty good one and that it
pretty honestly stipulates the advantages and uses of the film. Now of
course they also put remarks in the brochure as "...Provia F is the film
which has the finest grain size of all slide films with the same speed in
the world...", etc. :)

Cheers!
Olafo
