Watching some footage of the Sydney Olympics with coverage of the coverage
- a US journalist described Sydney as being like Iowa without the corn. Can
any of you guys explain 'cos I don't get it.

Are people in Sydney friendly, somewhat unpretentious? That could be it.
The media spend a lot of time in Iowa in presidential election years. They
always make a big deal out of how nice people are.
