I'm surprised that no one has said more about glass. There are several
grades of glass that can be used for framing starting with plain old
single strength window glass. Conservation clear which blocks 90-950f
the harmful UV and Preservation clear which blocks nearly all of the UV.
Also you can get anti reflective glass that cuts down on glare at the
expense of a bit of clarity. For something you value i would recommend
the going added expense of conservation clear. Plastic isn't worth the
trouble and offers little UV protection and scratches easily when
cleaning.
