Thanks for all of the information. I think that I have a much better understanding now. You were right, that I was using the T32 in normal auto mode and not TTL auto mode. I will try it in TTL auto mode and see how that works out.

Again thanks a lot.

Another thing you can easily do with the T-32 in TTL OTF Auto mode is bounce
flash.

Angle the flash head upwards - there are click stops at 45 and 60 degrees
among others - and the light from the flash will bounce off the ceiling
before lighting up your subject. One way to prevent red-eye and the severe
look that direct flash illumination can give.

Again in a normal room f/5.6 or f/8 might be OK for this. Depends on the
height of the ceiling and how reflective it is (but most ceilings in homes
are white anyway and less than 3m high), but the TTL OTF auto mode senses the
light hitting the film plane during the actual exposure, so when enough light
has come to the film, the flash will be cut off!

This will be true for the flash with the OM-2S set to AUTO (or PROGRAM) mode.
The T-32 was originally designed for the OM-2 / OM-2N in Auto mode and works
the same as on the OM-2S.
