Don't know about that. You might be able to work a deal face to face if you
walk into B&H or KEH, but I can't see that flying through the mail or over
the phone. I can see even less a reduction from, say, $400+ down to the
$200 range on a 50mm f1.2 in excellent+ condition.
If you find a way, though, please let me know. <g>

Here is what I have regarding Skip's datapoints from 1 1/2 to 2 years
ago:
May 6, 1999 to Sept 1999: US$256 (KEH=LN-) and 218 (KEH=Ex+)
Oct. 1999 to Feb 1, 2000: 266 (KEH=LN) and 183 (as-is).
I don't have Skip's third datapoint for this period of time.

Perhaps what you find amazing is how high camera dealers will price
things in a published price list? What you see are asking prices. It
doesn't mean they actually get those prices. KEH themselves are
limiting their inventory for the first time anyone can remember,
persumably due to a cash flow concern. You better bet that alternative
sources of used goods are hurting their operation.
