Thanks Gary
Instructions sheets - now there's a luxury! Are all the typical mirror
lenses 'catadioptric' - I thought that only applied to those Vivitar style
'solid-cat' types?
I was puzzled that they would supply such a filter if it was not necessary
- it hardly serves a protective purpose, especially in those big lenses
where they slot in from the side. Implication - you need something there!
I can't imagine being able to use fixed diaphragm mirror lenses without at
least ND2X and 4X filters in your kit so Minolta are clearly deranged! That
was the first thing I bought to go with mine. Allowed me to take 800ISO
film and filter down, rather than slower film and giving up! The Tam. has
an 82mm front filter ring and I was chasing a polariser earlier this week
for it (missed!) but anything else goes up the clacker, as we say here so
charmingly.
