When gluing a mirror you need something that also acts as a gap filler, and
allows the  mirror to "float" on an extremely thin layer.  Crazy glue
requires surface to surface contact to hold which may actually distort the
surface of the mirror in an inperceptible (?) way.
For the 2S and up, the factory used something that looks like black silicon
rubber.  3-4  small dots of 5 minute epoxy  may be good too.
