Interesting, Ray. Have you ever detected flying shutter strings in this
way on any OM-2S? Not meaning any disrespect, but I'm just wondering
how you are sure that it works. Thanks.

A fair question, Joel. The test procedure is not my idea and perhaps I
should have said so. I got the information from a post on this list a
long time ago but I can't remember now who posted it. No, I have never
detected flying shutter strings by this method but I was convinced at
the time that the person giving the advice knew what he was talking
about. Being curious, I tried the test with my own 2S and couldn't see
any problem.
