I notice that there is a serious concern when buying lenses about whether
there is oil on the aperture blades and whether they move freely etc. I
understand the importance of blades opening and closing freely. What I am
interested in is whether oil on the blades is terminal as far as a lens is
concerned, or whether it can be reconditioned. If this is possible, what
is the likely price?
PS. I don't have a lens with this problem as far as I know, I am just
interested.
