I pulled this off the Camtech site. Thought this might be useful.
New BACK COVER for OM-1 thru 4Ti.......... $33.95 If considering a new
back read this first: (W/Film holder, fits all OM bodies except OM-10, 20,
30, 40, G, F, PC, 77 & 88. Of course it does not fit the old FTL. New back
does NOT include new pressure plate, you must transfer old pressure plate to
new back IF it is the correct one. Read on!)) Oldest M-1s & OM-1s have a
smaller pressure plate which will not fit this new back. Remove the pressure
plate from your old back & measure the distance between the 2 pins on the
back. IF THE DISTANCE, CENTER TO CENTER, IS LESS THAN 52MM (2.05"), YOU HAVE
THE OLDEST STYLE PRESSURE PLATE. THIS OLD PRESSURE PLATE WILL NOT FIT THIS
NEW BACK. You must buy a new pressure plate to fit your new back cover. If
new cover is being used on oldest style OM-1 (which had this smaller pressure
plate), the 2 silver guide pins next to the sprocket must be taken out and
the holes filled with same size flush-fit set screws. Then put a drop of
flat black paint on each head to keep them in place. This is not meant to be
done at home by the end user.
