The placement of the SS ring was key to my initial purchase; was perhaps
THE deciding factor after size. Love the ability to control the the SS
and aperture by the left hand without shifting grip. Have never been able
to reacquaint to the awkward placement of the SS where the ASA dial
should be. Ask someone who's never handled a camera before where they'd
prefer the controls; I bet they'd want all the important controls close
together, not aperture and focus with left hand - shift my grip - now SS
with the right.
