I induced a problem with similar symptoms on my OMG. When I first got
it I was test firing with the lens cap on and no film. I wound the
advance while the camera was in the middle of what was probably a 2
second exposure and that caused the problem. I was lucky to fix it by
opening the back and manually advancing the toothed gear sprocket. As I
recall the was little or no resistance when doing this. Don't know if
this applies to your OM-2n as I have no background in camera repair and
others are better suited to give you a knowledgeable answer.
