  It depends on the rate of fogging, because slight fogging could be
advantageous in available darkness shooting. and in fact, there were
conversions made to cameras with little bean-type bulbs inserted into the
mirror box precisely for this purpose --- to slightly fog the film.
Of course, with a radioactive lens, the effect wouldn't be all that 
controllable...
