Of course we have driven up the prices of OM equipment, but only in the
sense that we are a part of the demand side of the supply-demand equation
which governs market values. I agree with previous comments that if
anything, this list helps keep prices in check by informing members as to
what is the fair market value for an item.
It would be interesting to find out what proportion of the OM buyers on Ebay
are a part of this list. I suppose that if we made up a significant portion
of the OM buying population, we may be influencing prices. However I suspect
that in reality this list is more akin to being a small fish in a big
pond...
