Yes, exactly right. Since their growth has slowed, they are on a
mission to increase their revenue any way they can. Cutting out the
potential for side deals is one of those ways. I expect their next step
is to have shill bidders attempt to work side deals with people in order
to entrap them.
I have a few items to auction in the next few weeks. Unless I find a new
rule barring me from doing so, I intend to start putting my email
address in the auction description. I'm funny that way. I think freedom
of association is one of those inalienable rights...
