I think the remark you are thinking of was the one I made regarding 19-35mm
zooms that Vivitar and Phoenix have. Both are made by Samyang.
To my knowledge, Vivitar does not have an 18-28.
Neither Sears nor Vivitar make lenses, they only market lenses made by
different manufacturers (Samyang, Kiron, other less well-known suppliers).

With the exceptions of the grip and some lettering, they look almost
