I go agree, its just heavier than a 35 - 70 F 3,5-4.5 whose performance is very
slightly better I think according to test data.( Am I right about the
comparison?)

It might be stated that the 35-70 f4 is not a dog either. Although the
others may test out a bit better, I've produced some very pleasing results
