An excellent lens! However, it can be very difficult to work with. You
need a very sturdy support mechanism to use it, preferably something such
as the VST-1 stand. At very high magnifications, lighting can be a problem
unless you have the mirror housing or lieberkuhn reflector. As expected,
depth of field is very shallow and you quickly begin to lose sharpness as
you stop the lens down. It takes a while to learn the characteristics of
this lens, but in the end you can get some stunning results. Don't be
too disappointed with your first results.
