Hinge and mirror pieces are self stick. They are easy to put on. It's
sliding self stick pieces into the back slots that's very difficult if not
impossible.

| This is a sidewise answer to your question, but why don't you just buy a
| kit
| from John Hermanson (Camtech)? I can't imagine the aggravation of
| cutting
| pieces, especially when I know that there are pre-cuts that fit exactly
| to
| the purpose. The piece you want is adhesive-backed in the kit version
| BTW.
| ---------------------------------------------------------
|
| I've never bought one of John's foam kits but I know that it's not
| adhesive backed since I know he cautions against using same... see the
| instructions at his site:

|
| Having tried to install adhesive backed foam in a friend's Pentax I can
| heartily agree. The cost was lots of aggravation and a blown test roll
| of film which showed that it needed to be done over again. I got it
| right the second time around from a light leak standpoint but it still
| looks ugly. And I don't ever want to use any of that !%$#&^^!@# self
| stick foam again... ever!
|
| I agree. Buy one of John's kits and follow his directions.
