thanks to those who offered help on & offline. i couldnt salvage the msgs
already in opera by sending to myself since it would'nt send at all! smtp
server was still the same. oh well. i copied out the needed stuff into
notepad, deleted everything and uninstalled opera 5.0 and then instaled
5.02. this time i am not gonna have it to handle email, i like pinemuch
better :) oh, did i mention i lost all my bookkmarks as a result? tsk, i
already crashed win3.x on the old computer like twice while messing
around. learned a LOT tho. now i'm messing with system setting and
registry... one of these days i'l crash this new pc too (w98se) if i keepp
this up (to chagrin of parents...). hey, it's a learning experience. :)
