However, I think that they're at their
best when used in relatively tight quarters or fairly close up. Though
they're often chosen for landscape use, care must be taken in composing so
as not to wind up with quanities of images that try to encompass more than
the 35mm format can really show to advantage.


With all this talk of affinity for wide angle lenses, I once again encourage
any/all of you to avail yourselves of a copy of Art Wolfe's latest book "The
Living Wild".  Just about shot entirely with wide angle (unfortunately C*non
stuff).  Just drop by a Barnes & Noble or comparable venue and give it a
look.  Really remarkable stuff.
