What's wrong with the T28? If it is the shoe of the bottom of the case
where it attaches, Olympus America will provide the parts for free (I've
gotten them for a broken T32).
I'll call them and get the parts for you and remail them if that helps.
Worst case, I have a T32 is pretty sad shape that I can part with if you
scrounging parts.
