John,
SUPER lens.  Is not a zoom it is a varifocal (have to re-focus each time
change focal length).  UPI used this for a while.  Heavy, but extremely well
made.  A classic.
I believe Warren Kato has one.  My father-in-law has had one on his Nikon
for years and won't let it go.
Push-pull zoom.  Actually pretty fast 'cause often you unintentionally
change focus when changing focal length with push-pull.
