It's a difference in expectations. if you are dealing with a lawyer,
politician or doctor, you expect that they're working for you (or in the
case of a lawyer, very clearly against you). These are, or should be,
ethical professions.
A GOOD salesperson will do the same in trying to give you a genuinely good
deal that suits you but, at base, your benefit is not their agenda and we
are foolish if we think it is or allow them to persuade us that they are
working on our behalf. It is amazing how many people forget that a real
estate agent is working as an agent for the vendor and behave as if they
have hired him/her to find them a house.
