This is how Oly's manual extension tubes work too. If the bellows and tripod
are sturdy enough it should be possible to turn the aperture ring w/o
changing any setting. If you do want to keep the aperture ring stopped down
while focusing, you need the right screen (1-12 or 1-11). You need such a
screen anyway if you want to go at much higher magnifications than 1:1. The
varimagnifinder is also a good thing to have in combination with cross-hairs
air image focusing.
