I've never even heard of/seen one. One of my inheritances from my dad was a
SMC-Takumar 500mm F4.5, but it's not a mirror lens, and I need a Sherpa to
pack the thing around for me... not to mention a concrete pier or equivalent
to mount it on during use. It's a marvelous lens, though. If you've any
additional info about the lens you describe, I'd be most interested.

I just picked up a Vivitar 450mm f4.5 Series 1 mirror lens and would not go
for anything any slower. This one has Aspherical element (s) and is a good
performer. I compare it to a 600mm f8 solid cat from Vivitar I have as well
and it is so much brighter and focuses so much closer. The 450 is still
compact. If you really like mirror lenses I can't say enough about the 450mm
Vivitar-but I hate to turn you away from an Olympus : ) Besides-the Vivitar
is a rare find.
