Jim,
I bought one about a year ago for a trip in order to keep weight down.
Great lens! Sharp and easy to focus outdoors. I have somewhat failing
vision and found difficulty focusing in interiors with it and subsequently
recently sold it.
If I were assured I would always be able to use it outdoors, I would have
kept it. Instead, I acquired a Vivitar 28-90/2.8 Series I. Have to refocus
when changing focal lengths, but I can see inside.
But, if you can see to focus with the 3.5 aperture, go for it. You'll love
it!
