In a message dated 10/20/00 Charlie Stricklen <charlie@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
offers some sage advice on sneaking Zuikoholic urges past our spouses...

That almost worked with the Tamron 80-200 as I thought it looked enough
like the Tamron 60-300 I used to use. Took two days at the track before
she noticed it was different...I used some lame excuse since it doesn't
look ultra fancy or expensive to the un-trained eye.

I screwed up on the Zuiko 350/2.8. I knew it was coming on loan and told
her about it in advance. (I know...silly me.) It was only after it
became a "bird in the hand" offers to sell were made and by then it was
spousally too late to slip anything past her. The bright side is I think
in time I can get her to accept reality and meanwhile the lens ships in
a few weeks for Gary to test anyway so she'll see it leave. It is when
it comes back to me after that I'll have some 'splainin' to do...but
like all things put off to the future, I'll worry about that then ;-)
There actually will be a mass sell-off of everything I don't really
need. I'll post the FS items here first of course.

Heed Charlie's advice...it was good.
