The hood for the 35-70/3.6 is only labeled '35-70mm Japan Olympus'.

The one I had was definitely labelled "35-70mm F3.6  JAPAN   Olympus" (or I
wouldn't have known WHAT  it was! There appears to have been some changes
in labelling - I have two 28mm rubber hoods for the 2.8 - one is also
labelled for the 3.5 and the newer one isn't. Perhaps Oly added the F3.6
only when other 35-70's became available.
