You're right.  This is probably the infamous dirty ISO/exposure comp dial 
problem, I think. You may be able to promote a fix by twisting the dial back 
and forth about 30 times to clean up the contacts.  If it is persistent, send 
it to John H. or your local equivalent technical person for CLA.

As for your bad luck with bodies, maybe you're a magnetic personality.  My 
wife's aunt can't wear a mechanical wrist watch for any amount of time before 
it stops.  Magnetic interference, she claims.  I guess people believe in 
goofier things.
