That was an early "no feature" indicator, pioneered by Olympus but left
undeveloped. Good thing. If Olympus had followed plans to develop the
no-feature indicator to its maximum potential, the OM-4Ti's viewfinder would
be completely blocked unless the most expensive motor drive, flash and lens
were attached.
