Tom, don't feel bad.

I also fell off the wagon last week; it felt sooooo goooood! Another rung
achieved in the 12-stop program.

A beautiful 85/2 arrived today . . . while the other half is out of town .
. . and traveled effortlessly through the house from the front door to a
lens case in the camera bag.

Pristine condition, about an EX++ or LN-, with no preceeding letter or
trailing "MC" on the ring. Not so much for the multi-coating but for the
newer formulation with the floating element. Mounted it on a body and
played with it a little. Just what was needed for my style of portraiture,
it plugs the gap between 50mm and 135mm with a fast lens. Can't wait to
try it this weekend with some Kodachrome 64. Best part is it's about the
same physical size as the 50/1.2 so there shouldn't be that many questions!

More seriously, the other half knew the lens acquisition was imminent, it's
just that I spent an eensy-weensy bit more than I estimated to get it so
some "Zuiko slush fund" money will have to hit the bank account before the
credit card bill hits the bank account.
