Subject: help with OM-2N

I got your address through the Olympus mailing list, to which I'm trying to
get subscribed right now (I'm in a very particular circumstance that
prevents me from having an expedite email connection...)
I used to have an OM-1 which travelled with me quite far. Until the winder
got weirdly stuck. I was living in Switzerland and the costs of repairing
it were too high. So I just bought an used OM-2N. From B&H -online. The
camera doesn't seem to work properly. When clicking, the mirror opens, but
the shutter remains closed, as well as the diaphragm. It's released when I
pass the control bar to "check-reset". And then I can wind as well.
The problem doesn't occur on B exposure, so I thought it may be the
batteries. The battery-check works, though.
I just want to know if there's some trick to start with the camera...
Unfortunately I'm leaving communicated-world from next wednesday on, until
god-knows-when. So, if you coul give me a hint, I would really appreciate it...
