More than likely, especially when you read this from the May 24, 2000
Photo Marketing Newsline (sent to PMA members):

"Dave Willard, director, Internet business development, Olympus America
Inc. (www.olympus.com), Melville, NY., said [on May 17 at the "Taking
your business to the Internet" seminar, PhotoImaging Manufacturers and
Distributors Association Inc. meeting in New York City] manufacturers
need a firm Web strategy that works with retailers. Willard said Olympus
is not heavily pursuing direct sales to consumers, but will provide this
service for the end user."

Now what in the heck was he really saying??? Was he quoted wrong or is
he talking out of both sides of his mouth? What is the difference
between an end user and a consumer?

It is clear to me that the most knowledgable users are the only ones
providing reliable Olympus OM information to other users!
