Relax Arman!

Giles is right. Dust, unless ridiculously thick, is harmless. Think of the
amount of dust suspended in the air around us at all times. Much more than
between lens elements. Yet, does it degrade our vision? Not a bit!

Don't worry about it!

Years ago the world's greatest lens maker...Leitz...had to answer concerns
about little bubbles in their lens elements. From high atop the mountain in
Wetzlar the Teutonic gods of optics pronounced: "Little bubbles don't hurt
a thing."

Well, because the fabled Leitz had said that bubbles did no harm, a legend
arose that bubbles in lens elements were actually a sign of highest quality.
This is nonsense...even Leitz says so...but the fable persists to this day.

So, Arman, I suggest you start spreading the rumor that dust between lens
elements is actually a sign of optical excellence. We'll all back you up,
my friend!
