I always judged it the other way around.  I'll take some of both down to
Boston this weekend for a little test.

There's no E6 I've used that gives "normal" caucasian skin tones, IMO. 
You can warm up Kodachrome a bit with filters, but there's no getting
around the jazzed up look of most E6. (Again, IMO) All this goes to show
how personal and subjective color palette is, especially skin tones.
