[OM] A very Zuikoholic day

Well, today was a fun day...actually using all this wonderful equipment.

I had a meeting in San Antonio (about an hour and a half from Austin), but
the meeting was very short. So, I knew I'd have about an hour or two before
I had to zoom home to pick up the kids. For those of you not familiar with
San Antonio, it's a beautiful city. I took in two of the main attractions,
the Riverwalk and the Alamo.

So, I overpacked a kit and off I went. I packed the newly acquired
(somewhat accidently) Tamrac 608. Nice bag.

OM-2SP
OM-2n (the new chrome one I just picked up).

21/2
28/2
35/2
50/1.4
50/3.5 macro
85/2
135/2.8
200/5

First, don't take that much if you're walking several miles. I decided to
go 'purely prime', but I admit that the convenience the zooms would have
been nice.

I was very rushed, so I just shot quickly and burned a lot of film. I
picked the bodies because they already had film in them. The 2n had
Fujipress 800 and the 2SP had Superia 400. I used up the 800 and loaded
another Superia 400. It was an overcast day and the only other film I had
was 100 (well, more 800 too).

Casual observations: The 21 is a lot of fun. I used it more than anything
else. It did make me wish for the 18 back, alas. The 28 was nice, but not
wide enough for the closed spaces (the Riverwalk is very narrow). The 35
and the 28 overlap enough to not carry both. The 35 was nice, but I didn't
find that many uses for it today. Same with the 50/3.5 and even the 50/1.4.

Surprisingly, I used the 200 quite a bit. The architecture was wonderful and
I was able to shoot some detail with the 200. This end of the spectrum made
me wish for the 300 (bidding on one tonight). A shift lens would have been
nice (bidding on one of those tonight too).

Next shooting opportunity I'm going to pack only zooms and see what happens.

I'll post some scans as soon as I get the film back (and the new scanner).
Hopefully at least a few were worthwhile.

Tom
