Giles,
        Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately as best I can tell it is on the
back of the front element or, possibly,  no it has to on the front of the
element behind it. There could  be a spacer in between. The spots are not
uniform in any way shape or form. I wish I could find a repair shop that knows
Kirons. I haven't lost anything to speak of on the lens. Kiron is thought of
as being a good lens mfg. and the focal length would make a nice knock about
lens.
        Olympus content, got back some photos I took weekend before last, with
my 200 mm. Damn my eyes are not as bad as thought they might be.
