I've watched Red-Tail Hawks nest and raise young from eggs to teaching them
to fly to taking them out to hunt for food. Watching large birds-of-prey
raise their young is a sight to behold. Having seen a pair of "Great
White" periodically roost part of the year near where we lived in
California, the large owls are majestic (very unusual locale for one; I did
a double-take when I first saw them). When they spread their wings for
flight it's magnificent.

Great photo and wearing a hard-hat when getting near their young is a very
good idea! An upset adult is not something I would want to tangle with.
